Bhubaneswar, Sept. 11 -- Orissa High Court on Thursday dismissed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) challenging the appointment of two Deputy Chief Ministers in the state. The court also cautioned the petitioner against filing trivial litigation.

The PIL challenged the constitutional validity of the appointment of the two Deputy Chief Ministers. The matter was heard by a Division Bench headed by the Chief Justice, which reserved its judgment after concluding the hearing.

During the hearing, Advocate General (AG) Pitambar Acharya appeared on behalf of the state government and presented strong arguments in support of the government's position.
