Bhubaneswar, Sept. 20 -- A team of wildlife experts is conducting regular health check-ups of five orangutan infants housed at the quarantine facility of Nandankanan Zoological Park after they were rescued from Bhograi and brought to the zoo.

Dr Abhijit Bhawal, Veterinary Officer at the Delhi Zoo, and Dr Sanath Krishna Mulia, Wildlife Veterinarian at the Wildlife Institute of India in Dehradun, visited the quarantine facility on Sunday and examined the health of the five infants.

The two experts reviewed the infants' health and provided advice on their diet, treatment and care. They recommended gradually increasing the quantity of food given to the infants and adding some more items to their diet.
