Bhubaneswar, May 23 -- In response to the rising electricity demand across the state, the Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL) on Saturday has taken unprecedented measures by cancelling all employee leaves with immediate effect. The circular directs that no employee may leave headquarters without prior approval until further notice, signalling a strict operational approach to ensure uninterrupted power supply.

Leave Cancellation and Headquarters Restrictions

The circular issued by the Chief General Manager (HRD) highlights that all types of sanctioned leave, apart from maternity leave and medical leave, are temporarily suspended. Employees who are on leave are advised to report back to duty immediately.
