Bhubaneswar, Sept. 8 -- Odisha dairy farmers received a major boost on Tuesday, with the Odisha State Cooperative Milk Producers' Federation Limited (OMFED) deciding to increase the milk procurement price by Rs 2 per litre from September 11. The move is expected to benefit more than three lakh dairy farmers across the State.

The increase will directly benefit farmers supplying milk to Omfed. However, consumers will not have to pay more for Omfed milk and other dairy products.

Retail Prices Of Omfed Products To Remain Unchanged

Retail prices will continue at the existing rates despite the higher amount being paid to farmers.
