Bhubaneswar, April 27 -- In a troubling turn of events, an Odisha-based youth allegedly received death threats on Monday after recently rescuing two Nepali women from some traffickers in Kolkata. The youth, identified as Rakesh, had taken significant personal risks to free the women from the clutches of middlemen who were exploiting them in the capital city of West Bengal.
According to sources, the two Nepali women were under the control of suspected agents in Kolkata when Rakesh intervened and successfully rescued them. Demonstrating courage and a sense of responsibility, he brought the victim women to Odisha and yesterday handed them over to cops at Chandrasekharpur Police Station in Bhubaneswar for their safety and further legal actio...
