Bhubaneswar, Sept. 29 -- Odisha Vigilance on Tuesday apprehended Bandita Das, Assistant Engineer of Badachana Block in Jajpur district, for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 35,000.

According to Vigilance officials, Das was caught while allegedly receiving the money in connection with the release of a pending bill and security deposit amount related to the construction of a school under Badachana Block.

Her personal assistant, Somanath Sethi, was also apprehended in connection with the case.
