Odisha Vigilance catches JMFC Court clerk red-handed while accepting Rs 50,000 bribe
Bhubaneswar, Sept. 11 -- Odisha Vigilance on Thursday apprehended Achyut Kumar Pradhan, Senior Clerk attached to the Court of the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC )in Malkangiri's Mathili while allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000.
According to reports, Pradhan allegedly demanded the money from a complainant in connection with providing relief in two Non-Bailable Warrant (NBW) cases issued against the complainant's cousin.
Unable to meet the alleged demand, the complainant informed the Vigilance authorities. Upon receiving the information, a team of Odisha Vigilance laid a trap operation on Thursday and apprehended Pradhan while he was allegedly accepting the bribe amount.
