Bhubaneswar, May 16 -- Odishagovernment will soon introduce a separate film policy for the state, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced after holding discussions with eminent personalities from the Odia film fraternity on Saturday.

The interaction programme focused on the present condition of Odia cinema, its future growth and the preservation of Odisha's cultural heritage.

Following the meeting, the Chief Minister said lack of funds would not become a hurdle in the development of the Odia film industry. He also advised filmmakers to focus on original stories connected to the lives, culture and traditions of Odisha.
