Odisha to pay 7 per cent interest on delayed pension payments due to administrative lapses
Bhubaneswar, Sept. 8 -- Odisha Cabinet took a major decision to provide annual interest of 7 per cent if pension payments are delayed due to administrative negligence. The government amended the Odisha Civil Services (Pension) Rules, 1992 in this regard.
A decision in this regard was taken during the Cabinet meeting chaired by the Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on Monday, Besides, 18 other proposals from 12 departments were approved during the meeting.
The state government approved an investment proposal of Rs 15,948.70 crore to strengthen and expand the electricity transmission infrastructure.
For the first time, a 765 kV network is being established in the state. Three new grid substations will be set up at Khuntuni, Duburi and Kolabira....
