Bhubaneswar, June 8 -- Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday announced a major push for sports infrastructure, unveiling plans to invest more than Rs 4,000 crore for the construction of modern multi-purpose stadiums in every block across the state.

As part of the ambitious plan, the state government will also establish a state-of-the-art multi-purpose sports complex at Gothapatana in Bhubaneswar with an investment of Rs 1,000 crore. The proposed complex is expected to become a major hub for training, competitions, and sports development.
