Bhubaneswar, Oct. 16 -- The State Election Commission (SEC) will launch a door-to-door survey across Odisha from October 26 to November 7 to prepare electoral rolls for the 2027 panchayat and urban local body elections.

Announcing the schedule at a media conference on Thursday, State Election Commissioner Madhusudan Padhi said the draft electoral rolls would be published on January 1, 2027, as reported by The New Indian Express.

The SEC has formed 45,200 teams to carry out the exercise across the state, with each team comprising two to three members. Booth-level officers (BLOs), anganwadi workers, Jal Sathis, Swachh Sathis and ASHA workers will visit households to collect and verify voter-related details.
