Bhubaneswar, April 23 -- Odisha government initiated fresh measures to accelerate gas distribution projects in urban areas, following the Cabinet's approval of the City Gas Distribution policy. 

With a renewed focus on expanding access to Piped Natural Gas (PNG) and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), the move is aimed at strengthening clean energy infrastructure across cities. 

According to the state's Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister, Krushna Chandra Patra, the Odisha City Gas Distribution policy is expected to be implemented within the next six months. Necessary instructions have already been issued to all concerned officials to ensure timely execution.
