Bhubaneswar, April 7 -- A man allegedly killed his wife with a vegetable cutter before hanging himself from a tree at Saranuapalli village under Belakunta police limits in Ganjam district on April 5.

The couple, who had a love marriage around seven to eight years ago, has two children. The incident is believed to have been triggered by a domestic dispute.

On the night of 5th April, Puja Nayak arrived at her house from Bhubaneswar, where she had been working as a labourer, after being called by her husband, Chitrasan Nayak, for some bank-related work. However, once she arrived, an argument broke out between the couple.
