Odisha schools to reopen on June 18 after summer break, says Education Minister
Bhubaneswar, June 15 -- All government and private schools across Odisha are set to reopen on June 18, School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond announced on Monday.
The minister stated that the decision was taken in view of the arrival of the monsoon and the drop in temperatures across the state, making it conducive for the resumption of classes after the summer vacation.
While announcing the reopening schedule, the minister said the government is closely monitoring prevailing weather conditions across the state.
He further added that if hot and humid conditions return due to changes in weather patterns, appropriate decisions will be taken in consultation with the government machinery to ensure students' safety.
