Odisha school textbook errors: Congress observes Nabarangpur bandh, demands Minister's resignation
Bhubaneswar, July 1 -- The Nabarangpur District Congress on Wednesday called a 12-hour bandh demanding the resignation of Odisha School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond over alleged errors in school textbooks for Classes I to VIII.
The bandh, scheduled from 6 am to 6 pm, began about an hour late due to rain. Congress workers staged road blockades at Majhiguda Chhak and Chaunriaguda Chhak in Nabarangpur town, disrupting vehicular movement in several parts of the district.
