Bhubaneswar, June 9 -- A woman's death at a private hospital in Bargarh triggered a protest on Tuesday, with family members alleging medical negligence. Locals blocked the road at Gosala Chhak by placing the body on the street, leading to the disruption of vehicular movement in the town. The deceased has been identified as Sristiprabha Padhan, wife of Purnachandra Sahu of Hatisar village under Bhatli block in Bargarh district.

Police reached the spot and are engaged in efforts to control the situation and restore normal traffic movement.

The family members of the deceased alleged that she died due to improper treatment at a private hospital. They have demanded compensation and action against the hospital authorities.
