Bhubaneswar, July 14 -- A high alert has been issued in Odisha's Ganjam district following a rise in Covid-19 cases in Andhra Pradesh. The Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO) and Public Health Officer (PHO) directed all government hospitals and Community Health Centres (CHCs) to remain vigilant.

As per reports, all the hospitals have been directed to test for Covid-19 mandatorily for all patients suffering from Severe Acute Respiratory Infection, SARI. Similarly, hospitals must ensure that at least 5 per cent of patients exhibiting Influenza-Like-Illness, ILI, symptoms to undergo Covid-19 testing.
