Odisha revamps school exam evaluation; now four assessments annually for Classes III to VIII students
Bhubaneswar, July 6 -- Odisha School and Mass Education Department has restructured the school evaluation system by introducing four mandatory assessments per academic year for students in Classes III to VIII. The new evaluation framework applies with immediate effect to all government and government-aided schools across the state.
This reportedly marks a significant shift towards a structured combination of continuous and term-end testing.
Under the newly issued guidelines, the academic calendar will be divided into two halves to accommodate the testing schedule. Two assessments will be conducted during the first term between April and September, while the remaining two will be held during the second term between October and March.
