Odisha Police to launch multi-state special drive to rescue missing children
Bhubaneswar, May 19 -- In a major interstate enforcement push, the Crime Against Women and Children Wing (CAW&CW) of the state crime branch has issued a strict Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for a targeted rescue operation.
According to the Times Of India, from May 21 to 30, OdishaPolice will execute a coordinated special drive across India to trace and rescue missing children believed to be languishing outside the state.
Investigations show that many missing minors migrate beyond Odisha, frequently trapped as domestic helps or forced into labour at construction sites, hotels, and restaurants. To address this, each police range has been assigned two specific destination territories:
Eastern Range: West Bengal and Assam
