Bhubaneswar, Sept. 3 -- The Mayurbhanj police in Odisha recovered around 47 mobile phones and returned them to their rightful owners during a special programme organised at the District Police Office on Thursday.

The initiative was conducted through the Cyber Police Station as part of the district police's ongoing efforts to trace lost and stolen mobile phones and return them to their owners. According to police, the 47 mobile phones had been recovered over the past three months and were estimated to be worth around Rs 9.26 lakh.

After completing the necessary verification process, police identified the legitimate owners of the recovered devices and formally handed the phones back to them during the programme.
