Bhubaneswar, Aug. 13 -- The Odisha Police is planning to set up three specialised units to tackle urban terrorism, the growing narcotics trade and road accidents in the state. The proposed units include an Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS), an Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) and a dedicated Road Safety Wing, Director General of Police YB Khurania said.

Speaking to mediapersons, Khurania said proposals for the three units have been submitted to the state government and the police expect approval soon. He added that field-level training has already begun for commandos who will form part of the proposed ATS.
