Bhubaneswar, April 22 -- The Odisha government is set to introduce a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to ensure the safety of government employees engaged in census duties, amid growing concerns over their working conditions and security.
Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari on Wednesday convened a meeting with revenue and census officials to review the situation and discuss measures to safeguard field staff. The move comes in response to reports of health issues and incidents of violence faced by personnel during the ongoing enumeration process.
