Bhubaneswar, April 19 -- The Odisha government has initiated the process to establish five new medical colleges across the state, marking a significant step towards expanding healthcare education infrastructure. Officials have been directed to identify suitable land for the proposed institutions following the Chief Minister's announcement in the Budget.
According to the plan, three Ayurvedic medical colleges will be set up in Gajapati, Malkangiri, and Rayagada, while two government Homoeopathic medical colleges are proposed in Nayagarh and Nuapada. The initiative aims to strengthen alternative systems of medicine and improve access to healthcare education and services in these regions.
