Bhubaneswar, Nov. 3 -- Odisha Chief Secretary Anu Garg reviewed the situation on Tuesday following Cyclone Murasu and said the weather system had no impact on the state. She said the administration remained alert, took precautionary measures and evacuated people to cyclone shelters.

Restoration work is reportedly underway in Ganjam and Gajapati districts, while the administration is also working to ensure that the relief package announced by the state government reaches the affected people.

Garg said that rainfall on Monday night had slightly delayed rescue operations in landslide-hit areas. However, teams resumed work on Tuesday morning and were using new machinery and equipment to clear the affected stretches.
