Bhubaneswar, Oct. 2 -- A migrant worker from Odisha's Gajapati died under suspicious circumstances in Tamil Nadu's Coimbatore where he had been working for the past two years. The deceased has been identified as Abhas Macha of R. Udayagiri village.

According to reports, Abhas had been staying at Hathipalem in Coimbatore and working as a labourer. His mutilated body was found on Thursday a short distance from Hathipalem railway station.

The circumstances surrounding Abhas's death remain unclear. After receiving information about the incident, police reached the spot, recovered the body and started investigating the matter.
