Bhubaneswar, May 17 -- In a shocking act of violence, a domestic dispute in Vidyadharpur village escalated into arson, leaving the local community in Dhenkanal district shaken. The incident occurred under the jurisdiction of Rasol police station when a heated quarrel between a married couple spiraled out of control.

The accused, identified as Gyanranjan Sahu, reportedly under the influence of alcohol, allegedly set fire to his father-in-law's house late on Saturday night. The conflict began after a disagreement with his wife, Anita, who fled to her parental home to escape the confrontation. Unable to locate his wife and overcome by anger, Gyanranjan reportedly took the extreme step of setting the residence ablaze.
