Odisha man arrested for faking elephant attack to claim Rs 10L compensation
Bhubaneswar, Oct. 1 -- In a shocking incident, a man has been arrested in Odisha for allegedly trying to pass off a tree-fall death as an elephant attack to claim government compensation.
According to reports, the incident took place in Tulasipashi village under Parjang police station in Kamakhyanagar.
Reportedly, Bulu Maharana and Rajkishore Sahu, both residents of the village, had gone into the forest to cut a tree.

While the two were cutting the tree, it reportedly fell on Bulu, leaving him seriously injured. Following this, he was rushed for treatment but later died from his injuries.
