India, July 30 -- A Bhubaneswar court on Thursday sentenced a man and his lover to life imprisonment for murdering his wife after administering anaesthesia. The Additional District and Sessions Judge (ADJ)-2 Court in Bhubaneswar awarded the punishment to accused husband Pradyumna Das and his lover Roji Patra.

The court sentenced both convicts to life imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 50,000. In case of failure to pay the fine, they will have to undergo an additional one year of imprisonment.
