Bhubaneswar, June 7 -- In a move aimed at preparing women students for careers in the technology sector, the Higher Education Department has launched a specialised skill development programme to train 1,000 girls in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and other emerging technologies.

The initiative was formalised on Saturday through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the department and Edunet Foundation. The programme is designed to equip women students with industry-relevant skills and enhance their employability in rapidly evolving technology-driven sectors.
