Odisha lady doctor suicide case: Orissa High Court denies bail to Nigerian accused
Bhubaneswar, April 14 -- The Orissa High Court has rejected the bail plea of a Nigerian national accused in a sensitive abetment of suicide case involving allegations of blackmail and immigration violations.
The accused, Djedje Raymond alias Chijioke John Okoye, was arrested by Cuttack police in Delhi on March 24 last year.
A 31-year-old resident of Abidjan, he is facing charges in connection with the death of a woman doctor in Cuttack on March 1, 2025. The case is currently under trial before the District & Sessions Judge, Cuttack.
