Bhubaneswar, June 2 -- The Odisha government has decided to enhance reservation quotas for admissions in professional educational institutions across the state.

As per the decision, reservation for Scheduled Tribe (ST) students has been increased from 12 per cent to 22.5 per cent. Similarly, reservation for Scheduled Caste (SC) students has been raised from 8 per cent to 16.25 per cent.

The government has also approved the implementation of an 11.25 per cent reservation for students belonging to the Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC).
