Odisha govt unveils Rs 883 crore urban package, launches 593 projects across 62 ULBs
Bhubaneswar, Sept. 1 -- OdishaChief MinisterMohan Charan Majhi on Monday announced an Rs 883 crore package for urban development and launched 593 projects across 62 urban local bodies (ULBs) during the state's Local Self-Government Day celebrations.
Of the total package, Rs 560 crore has been set aside for 28 newly formed notified area councils (NACs). Each NAC will get Rs 20 crore for basic infrastructure such as roads, drains, markets and other civic facilities.
Majhi also launched 593 projects worth Rs 323 crore under the Mukhya Mantri Shahari Vikash Yojana. This includes 423 projects worth Rs 102 crore that were inaugurated and 170 projects worth Rs 221 crore for which foundation stones were laid.
