Odisha govt sanctions additional Rs 100 crore for development of Puri, new scheme planned
Bhubaneswar, Oct. 9 -- Odisha government has sanctioned an additional Rs 100 crore for development works in Puri. Plans are underway to complete pending projects and introduce a new scheme alongside the existing Abadha Yojana. The announcement was made by Odisha Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan on Friday.
The funds will reportedly support ongoing development works, including the incomplete facilities at Jagannath Ballav parking area near the Srimandir. The government is also reportedly planning to undertake further temple-related projects to improve facilities for devotees and tourists and promote Jagannath culture.
