Odisha govt launches urgent SCERT probe over 1,600 textbook errors
Bhubaneswar, June 24 -- A high-level three-member investigation committee commenced an emergency inquiry at the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) office on Wednesday. The development followed widespread concern over extensive errors detected in school textbooks.
Directed by OdishaChief Minister Mohan Majhi, the specialised team examined departmental processes and is expected to submit its findings later today.
The investigative team, under the direct supervision of the Development Commissioner, includes Bijay Ketan Upadhyay, Secretary of the Odia Language, Literature and Culture Department, and Financial Advisor-cum-Joint Secretary Smita Pani.
