Bhubaneswar, Nov. 7 -- Odisha government suspended Kantamal Block Development Officer (BDO) Sami Reddy Jayshree on Saturday.

The action was taken by the Revenue and Disaster Management Department as a departmental disciplinary inquiry against her is proposed.

During the suspension period, her headquarters will be the office of the Revenue Divisional Commissioner (RDC) in Sambalpur. She will not be allowed to leave the headquarters without prior permission.

She will also be entitled to a subsistence allowance during the suspension period, as per the applicable rules.

The department has directed the Boudh Collector to submit the charges against her, along with the relevant documents required for the disciplinary proceedings.
