Odisha government revises transfer norms, demands list of long-serving Police officers
Bhubaneswar, April 10 -- Police officers in Odisha will no longer be allowed to remain posted at one place for more than three years. Their tenure in a single district has been capped at six years, as per existing government guidelines.
The State government reiterated these provisions while seeking details of officers serving for prolonged periods in the same postings.
A notification issued by the General Administration Department directed authorities to submit a list of such officers. Details have been sought from all Superintendents of Police (SPs) and Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) under the Commissionerate Police. The deadline for submission of the list has been set for the end of April.
