Bhubaneswar, April 16 -- The Odisha government issued a new transfer policy for OAS junior cadre and ORS officers. The policy mandates field-level postings in the initial years of service and laying down structured timelines for transfers and postings.
The policy aims to streamline administrative functioning while ensuring equitable distribution of officers across regions, particularly in underserved areas.
As per the policy, all officers are required to serve in field postings during the first six years of their service. During counselling and initial postings, priority will be given to filling vacancies in KBK districts, Gajapati, Kandhamal and other scheduled areas.
