Bhubaneswar, Sept. 8 -- The Odisha government has stepped up its efforts to identify unsafe and vulnerable buildings across the state following the recent building collapse incident at Satya Niketan in Delhi.

The Housing and Urban Development Department has decided to conduct a special inspection to identify buildings that may pose a threat to public safety.

A dedicated team has been constituted for the purpose. The team has been directed to complete the identification process within the next 15 days.

Housing and Urban Development Minister Krushna Chandra Mahapatra has instructed the concerned team to inspect buildings across the state and identify structures that have become dangerous or structurally unsafe.
