Bhubaneswar, June 10 -- The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, approved the construction of a new coastal highway connecting Rameswar and Paradip in Odisha. The project, to be implemented under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM), is expected to strengthen coastal connectivity, facilitate freight movement and support economic growth across the region.

According to a report in Construction World, the highway project will be developed in two packages covering a total length of 160.18 km, with an estimated capital cost of Rs 83,007.9 million.
