Bhubaneswar, Sept. 26 -- In a striking scene from flood-hit Odisha, a wild bear was found stranded on a tree after rising floodwaters entered Sana Kalia Pada village in the Nilagiri area of Balasore district on Friday night.

According to reports, water from the Son River entered several nearby villages following heavy rainfall, triggering a flood-like situation in the area. As the water spread across low-lying pockets, the bear is believed to have come out of the adjoining forest and moved towards the village.

With floodwaters blocking its way back, the animal reportedly climbed a tree to escape the rising water.

Local residents spotted the bear perched on the tree and immediately informed the Forest Department. A forest team soon reac...
