Bhubaneswar, Aug. 26 -- Flood situation resurfaced in Odisha as the Mahanadi continued to swell following rainfall in Chhattisgarh. Up to 6.70 lakh cusecs of water reached Cuttack's Mundali on Tuesday which raised concerns over a possible rise in flood levels.

While the Baitarani river flooded again, Chandbali in Bhadrak witnessed its third flood. Flood conditions have been reported in Aradi, Sundarpur, Nandapur and Olag panchayats of Chandbali block which has worsened the situation for affected residents.

Around two feet of floodwater was seen flowing over the Aradi-Kuakhia road at Bodak. Repeated flooding also created large potholes of up to five feet on the road which brought vehicular movement to a complete halt.
