India, July 29 -- The Odisha government has deputed three senior IAS officers to Balasore, Bhadrak and Jajpur to strengthen flood preparedness and oversee relief and restoration measures as the flood situation in north Odisha remains critical. Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari said the next 12 hours would be crucial as water levels in several rivers are expected to rise further due to continued rainfall in the upper and lower catchment areas.
