Bhubaneswar, Oct. 16 -- The month-long 'Surakshit Odisha, Viksit Odisha' campaign to check fire safety violations across Odisha has concluded. Launched on September 15, the campaign covered hospitals, educational institutions, hotels, commercial establishments and industrial areas to inspect their fire safety arrangements.

During the drive, notices were issued to 3,404 establishments over deficiencies in fire safety systems and irregularities in documentation. Around 200 establishments that deviated from their approved building plans were also served separate notices.
