India, Oct. 7 -- Two Odisha excise officials were injured in a late night attack by a group of miscreants on Tuesday. A group of miscreants allegedly attacked the officials and freed two arrested illicit liquor traders near Bharasha village under Khallikote police station limits in Ganjam district.

The excise team had conducted a raid near Bharasha village after receiving information that two persons were illegally transporting country liquor. During the raid, the team arrested both accused.

Excise Team Attacked During Raid When the officials were taking them to the police station, some miscreants suddenly attacked the excise team. They allegedly assaulted the officials and freed the two arrested liquor traders before fleeing the spot....
