Bhubaneswar, Oct. 24 -- A doctor was allegedly assaulted by five men at Manibandha Community Health Centre (CHC) in Odisha's Cuttack district on Saturday after he attended to a patient who had reportedly fallen seriously ill after consuming alcohol, with police arresting three people following a complaint.

The doctor is reported to be in critical condition.

According to reports, the incident took place at the healthcare facility in Badamba block, where Dr Santosh Kandola was allegedly attacked while treating Adarsh Seth of Kashikiari village.

Complaint Filed After Assault

According to the complaint, Adarsh was brought to the hospital by five of his friends after his condition deteriorated following alcohol consumption.
