Bhubaneswar, May 2 -- The State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities in Odisha has taken a serious view of the alleged remarks made by KIIT and KISS founder Achyuta Samanta concerning children with autism. On Saturday, the Commission has directed the Khordha District Collector to conduct a thorough inquiry into the matter and take necessary action.

The Collector has been instructed to submit a report by May 6. Additionally, a notice has been issued to Achyuta Samanta, asking him to furnish his response to the Commission by the same date.

Terming the issue as sensitive and significant, the Commission emphasised the need for accountability.
