Odisha Crime Branch detains former SCERT Director in textbook irregularities case
Bhubaneswar, July 14 -- OdishaCrime Branch on Tuesday detained former SCERT Director Manoj Padhi in connection with the school textbook irregularities case. Padhi, who is currently undergoing interrogation, was previously suspended after massive errors were detected in primary school textbooks.
As per reports, the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) filed an official FIR with the state's Crime Branch on Monday, and following that, Padhi was detained on Tuesday.
Crime Branch Director General Vinaytosh Mishra confirmed that a special team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Narendra Behera is leading the investigation.
