Bhubaneswar, Sept. 23 -- A couple died in a road accident on Wednesday near Dhurapada under Keonjhar Town police station limits in Keonjhar district of Odisha after an unidentified truck allegedly rammed their motorcycle and dragged them for nearly 200 metres.

The accident took place while the couple was travelling on the motorcycle near Dhurapada. According to the reports, the truck hit the motorcycle and continued moving, dragging the couple along with it for nearly 200 metres.

Both victims died at the accident spot. The truck driver reportedly fled from the area along with the vehicle immediately after the incident.
