Bhubaneswar, June 21 -- A couple from Odisha's Nabarangpur district has lodged a police complaint alleging that their newborn baby boy was stolen from the Umerkote Sub-Divisional Hospital and accusing doctors of withholding information about the child.

According to the complaint, Dhanmati Santa, wife of Kamal Santa of Dabariguda village under Sukhigaon Panchayat, was admitted to the Umerkote hospital on April 2. Dhanmati alleged that after performing a surgery, doctors informed her that she had delivered a baby boy.
