Bhubaneswar, April 9 -- Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday inaugurated three grid substations and eight key transmission lines at Balianta in Khordha district marking a significant boost to the region's power infrastructure.

The projects, executed at an estimated cost of around Rs 600 crore, aim to strengthen and expand the electricity transmission network in Bhubaneswar and its surrounding areas. Officials said the enhanced infrastructure will improve power reliability, reduce outages, and meet the growing energy demand of the capital city.

As part of the programme, the Chief Minister also inaugurated a high-capacity grid substation constructed within the premises of SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. The facility ...
